MARTIN AUDIO MLA COMPACT WINS TOP AV AWARD
Martin Audio's groundbreaking MLA Compact PA system has walked off with a leading industry award - scooping the coveted pro audio category at this year's prestigious AV Awards 2012.
It marks another major gong for the company's MLA (Multi-cellular Loudspeaker Array) platform as it walked off with the highly-competitive Audio Product of the Year nomination.
Voted by a panel of key industry experts, the judges were looking for a demonstrable commitment to, and pursuit of, the future development of AV communications. Other criteria included evidence of technical innovation and creative solutions to communication problems; proof of company performance in terms of market share, turnover or margin increases, and proof of benefit to clients.
MLA Compact ticked all the boxes for the judges. Launched earlier this year, the smaller, lighter version of the MLA immediately won favour by incorporating the same principles that had made the parent system such a game-changer, but at the same time putting it within reach of a wider range of applications.
On hand to pick up the award were Martin Audio Managing Director, Anthony Taylor and Director of Sales, Simon Bull.
'This prestigious award is further evidence that our second generation MLA Compact system is proving equally as popular as the original,' stated Bull. 'It is rewarding to know that the value of this technology is now being recognised outside our traditional heartland of concert touring, and in the wider field of pro audio communications.'
