BUDEE CONCLUDES 2015 WITH TOP HONOURS AT CSDE
Budee brought a successful 2015 to an end by taking part in the third Chinese Stage Design Exhibition (CSDE) in Beijing. It was the first time Budee had exhibited at this important show and Martin Audio products, in particular, MLA Mini, played a key role on their stand.
The previous editions of this show, organised by China's Ministry of Culture, were held in 1982 and 2003 respectively, so this third edition was a long awaited historic event. The theme was 'creative spaces in the cultural world' and the show brought together representatives of theatre troupes, performance venues, art colleges and professional media from across China.
Budee walked away with two very prestigious honours from the show organisers. The live performance project 'Song of Everlasting Sorrow', which delights the audience every night with the largest installed Martin Audio MLA sound system in Asia, received the Sound Stage Arts Gold Medal for its unique design and its high performance sound system. The project, located inside the national tourist site Huaqing Hot Springs, converts an important historical spot into an outdoor theatre on a nightly basis.
The awards kept on coming as Budee's senior engineer Liu Zilin received a lifetime merit award from the organisers. Liu has over 25 years experience in the industry and his audio system designs have been featured in a number of important, national level projects across China.
Two awards and an exciting show added up to a wonderful conclusion to 2015 for Budee and Martin Audio.
